Leadership

Sherman Davis

Senior Pastor

Though much of his early life involved secular work and sinful habits, his wife Darlene’s Christian influence led to Sherman accepting Jesus Christ as his personal savior—leaving his past behind. Eventually, through God’s grace, Sherman was called to the ministry and attended Bible College at Tabernacle Baptist Bible College & Seminary in Virginia Beach. While completing his final year there his pastor, Dr. Rod Bell told him of a need for a Pastor at a church in King George. Pastor Davis came to Tabernacle Baptist Church in 1979 with his wife, Darlene, and grew the church into a thriving ministry today. He is well known throughout the community, where people see him as their friend and neighbor.

Micah Muhr

Assistant Pastor

Micah first came to Tabernacle Baptist Church in January 2016 with his parents and 8 brothers and sisters. The following year God called him to the ministry and he began studying in the undergraduate program at Veritas Baptist College. In 2018 Micah began serving full time in the ministry at the church and in 2022 met and married his wife Christina. He is now working along side Pastor Davis to grow the ministry at Tabernacle and to spread God’s word throughout King George.
